Azelaic Acid

Azelaic Acid is a naturally occuring substance found in wholegrains that has mild antibioticthat properties to help clean the skin.
Azelaic Acid is a powerful DHT inhibitor. Where Azelaic acid is applied it can reduce the level of DHT by 90%. Since DHT is the chemical that attacks the hair follicle, preventing and removing it from the scalp will aid in the regrowth of new hair. DHT (Dihydrogen Testosterone) is formed from the combination of the hormone testosterone and the enzyme 5-Alpha-reductase in the body. Azelaic Acid blocks the 5-alpha-reductase which prevents the conversion of Testosterone into DHT.
